Vietnam War Personalities Activity

Your Mission:

Hello students! Your mission for this activity is to discover information regarding one of the many people that played a role in shaping the Vietnam War. The following items will be accomplished by the end of the activity:

Basic Information:

The Vietnam War is one of the major events of this century. It affected countries around the world and people on both sides of the war played crucial parts in the war's development. Many times personalities that did not agree with the United States or came years before the war started get little attention, however, they did still play an important part in the war. Your assignment will bring light to personalities on both sides of the conflict and perhaps help you to see the individuality of all types of people.

The Steps:

  1. Look over the list of personalities below. Each personality has a link to short information about them.
  2. Choose an individual that you would like to learn more about
  3. Gather information from the internet and off the internet (at least 3 sources with at least 1 non-internet)
  4. Write a 2 page paper detailing the impact that your individual had on the Vietnam War
  5. Prepare a visual illustration that you can present to the class so that others may learn about the individual you have chosen
  6. Sign up for your presentation and good luck!
