What a Blast!

In December 1995, a very unique object was discovered. Called the "Bursting Pulsar," it behaves in ways which scientists can't yet explain. Learn about what we have determined about this object from looking at its X-ray and gamma-ray emission.

Imagine the Universe is a service of the High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC), Dr. Alan Smale (Director), within the Astrophysics Science Division (ASD) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
