Fascinating Biographical Sketch for

Jerry T. Bonnell

I received a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1987 after satisfying the Bursar's office that I had paid all of my fees. While in the Astronomy program at Maryland , my advisor, Roger Bell, patiently guided me through the completion of a Ph.D. thesis whose title was really too long to fit on any of the official forms. In 1988, I came to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center and enjoyed working on the Cosmic Background Explorer and International Ultraviolet Explorer projects. Since 1992 I have been a member of the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory Science Support Center staff in the Laboratory for High Energy Astrophysics. Lately, my research efforts have involved multiwavelength studies of gamma-ray selected blazars and studies of the time histories and spectral evolution of cosmic gamma-ray bursts.
